MicroMOA recently sent me a 16″ 5.56 barrel with a rifle length gas system and their Govnah gas block. Designed with the 3-gunner in mind this should prove to be a flat shooting rifle. Texas AR is providing an Upper Receiver and BCG to complete this bullet hose.

The barrel is constructed of 4150 steel that is Black Nitrided inside and out including the barrel extension. The blanks are F.J.Fedderson and have a hybrid standard/poly twist rifling that according to MicroMOA helps with barrel life with a 1:7 twist rate.

The key to this barrel is the Govnah gas block. It has a plate that slides left to right with 2 or 3 gas settings. The settings on my sample are for optimal, suppressed and adverse.  The plate is spring captured and is easily moved with a bullet tip to the desire position.

The upper will be built this week and a suppressed workout coming soon. Check in soon to see how this build turns out!
