Big fan of DeSantis holsters – let’s get that straight from the start. The gear is well made and DeSantis customer service is top-notch. I was in need of an In-Waist-Band holster for my new Glock G26 Gen 4 pistol and decided to try the Sof-Tuck. Click below to read my DeSantis Sof-Tuck IWB Holster review.
The holster is indeed “soft” construction. Nothing at all like a Kydex that retains its shape when the gun is presented. I acquired this particular holster for concealed carry so the ability to quickly and efficiently re-holster the weapon isn’t an issue.
Mine is right-hand draw. It took several days of wearing it to find just the right belt position and cant angle for the best combination of concealment and comfort. The 4:00 position slightly behind the hip seems to work best for me even when driving. Is it just me or does everyone have to really tighten up their belt to minimize the firearm printing? Kind of like cinching a saddle after riding for a bit I find myself taking the belt up another notch after about an hour otherwise the gun tends to flop over printing the grip.
The DeSantis Sof-Tuck is a good holster and very inexpensive.

Oh hi Mike:-) I didn’t know you wrote this. I thought you always packed that sweet single action mini 1911 9mm. Yeah when it warms up let me know…I’ve bungled up the finish on a couple slides now from sweat. Thanks brother. Cya.
We will see soon enough! It has been relatively cool since getting the Sof-Tuck but it will be getting very hot very soon here in Tejas.
I dont know where you live…maybe this isnt an issue yet..but how does the holster do with sweat protection for the gun?? I have always used Uncle Mikes cheapy inside the pants holster…they are cheap, last for years and thin/comfortable..the only problem I have had is when its hot I tend to sweat thru the holster sometimes and have had surface rust pop up very fast a few times in the past…oddly enough it seems to happen most often with stainless steel?? …weird I know……how do these do for that in the summer?? Thanks.
