After receiving my CHL, I decided that for my EDC I was most comfortable shooting and carrying my Kahr CW9 day in and day out. The holster search ended abruptly after ordering and fitting my Crossbreed MiniTuck. I knew I wanted a hybrid holster and I wanted it IWB. I like the idea of being able to have the quick draw and reholstering option of the kydex with the plushness of the leather. So with MANY praises sung to Crossbreed, I placed my order. Based on Crossbreeds marketing, I chose the horsehide for better durability from sweat protection.
It took a few weeks to receive my holster. Crossbreed claims that each holsters is fitted to the individual gun so that explained the wait. The price was about $80 shipped with the $10 horsehide option.
Once I received my holster I could see how well the kydex was formed to the Kahr. The leather was still as I expected it would be and knew, like a good boot, I would have to wear it a while to break it in. The holster came with metal clips with the Crossbreed logo and were situated on the holster so you could effectively tuck in your shirt. I’ve worn it this way a few times and with a little extra time tucking your shirt in and getting the proper blousing, I was able to get it to work. The only thing visible are the black belt clips. I feel like I’m more aware of these then the general public.
So, I’ve had the holster now for almost 5 years and it is well broken in (Texas summers make this happen quickly). I can wear this holster with jeans as well as shorts. The tip from me is to use a good gun belt. While the Kahr is not all that heavy, it now virtually feels non-existent to wear. I have worn the holster with and without an undershirt and the leather doesn’t really bother me touching my skin. The durability of this holster has been great. I practice holstering and reholstering my pistol all the time and the Crossbreed makes this very easy.
I’ve since order the Crossbreed SuperTuck (for larger pistols) for my STI 1911 and XD Sc 40. Though I do not wear these pistols as much, the Crossbreed holster does great duty for them as well. As a side note, I feel you can save the extra coin for the “combat cut” and just do it yourself.
Overall, this has been the best concealment holster for me, not only for all the reasons listed above, but because I have never once winced or paused when considering whether to wear it.

I ordered my second Crossbreed Supertuck when I purchased a new Kimber Micro 9MM for my daily carry. I had been very happy with my other Crossbreed for my Baretta PX4 Storm.
Unfortunately, the new holster for my Kimber ruined the finish on my beautiful new pistol in 5 different places. I mailed the holster back with a pictures of the damage to my new pistol. Response: “Would you like a gift certificate for a new holster?” My response: “Will that pay to refinish my ruined Kimber?”
Done with Crossbreed. Anyone without the integrity to stand behind faulty products does not deserve to be in business.
