My sons(age 21 and 20) were clearing out some varmints for a friend in south Texas last month. He had javelinas everywhere and wanted them, hogs, coyotes, and other non-game killed. We had the FN SLP Mk 1 12ga. 3″. 7 plus 1 capacity. We were using 000 buckshot shells and had a streamlight with laser mounted on top. We just peeked around the side of the light as we fired and had no difficulty doing so! Sneaking up on those peccaries in the dark and letting them have it was great fun. That shotgun was a joy to use; flawless cycling, felt good when shouldered, and the recoil was very well managed. Nice piece of work from FN. I was also carrying the FN five seven pistol with a streamlight. That pistol really handles well and that round ( 5.7 x 28 ) was very effective on those animals. I don’t have any vested interest in FN, we just happened to have those with us.

Thanks. I like the FNP 9mm almost as much as my Sig 9mm E2. Also, the FNAR in 308 with an Eotech holo sight has chased a few hogs across the pasture. I do like their products!
Fn turns out some great stuff! I’ve been wanting to try that FN guage out and see how the mossberg 930 stacked up against it. I was unimpressed with the Benelli, not the shotgun but what you get for the price of the darn thing. It just wasnt worth the cash. That FN looks sharp though. Also I’m a big fan of the 5.7×28 and streamlights! Great choices there!
