I purchased this dbm recently for an upgrade on my remington AAC-SD rifle. This unit is available for remington short actions, and I believe they are working on rem long action and also DBM for other rifles as well. Atlasworxs is an Australia-based company.

Pros: affordable, lightweight, uses AICS magazines, well constructed

cons: did not come with hardware, not USA made

Overall, this unit is very nice- especially when you consider how affordable they are. I was initially a little miffed at the lack of hardware, but fortunately I was able to find some 1/4×28 cap screws at a local farm supply store, and with some minor dremel work they were easily cut to the right length. Mine did not come with pillars either, though I did not need them since my HS stock has an aluminum block inside it. My block was machined to the correct height for a Badger dbm during a previous build, and that also worked for the Atlasworxs unit.

The construction is very nice, the unit is all metal with a black finish. It dropped right in to my HS stock that had already been inlet for a Badger m5 dbm. If your stock was not cut for this type of bottom metal, then more substantial work will be required. The magazine release is very long, like many of these types of DBM. It’s not my favorite style of release lever, but for the price I cannot complain. Also, the knurling on the mag release is far more agressive than any other i’ve seen, and I do like that because it is very easy to actuate even with gloves on.

I would recommend this unit to others, and will continue to use it in the future on my own rifles when not wanting to spend a lot of money for such a simple part.
