Aimpoint CompM4

Aimpoint, Eotech or Trijicon SRS ?

When it comes to a red dot for your AR15 there are a lot of choices out there.  If you just want to play on the range occasionally and don’t want to spend much money just about any of the cheaper ones will probably right provided they are at the correct height from the top of the flattop (1.5″ centerline).  But if you want to be able to count on it for competition, defense or military or LE use then the most common ones are Eotech or Aimpoint.  There is also the fantastic Trijicon SRS which I am going to include as well.  Please cast your vote and put some feedback below to have a good discussion on it.

Aimpoint T1 by a hair over Eotech EXPS series (ONLY because of battery life and the reliability record that I HAVE HAD–owning 3 T1s and 4 Eotechs…only one of all of them failed–an EXPS 2-0, that shut off while shooting on a .22LR upper). I may go back to EOs eventually–I do love that reticle. (I tried to like the SRS but even the newer ones have a weird glare sometimes–not that my eyes are great.)

I am a big fan of EoTech. Just like the combination of the 35 MOA circle for fast acquisition with the precision of the 1 MOA center dot. Also have the 3X mag with quick detach swing to side.

I am going to have to say Aimpoint and specifically the T1 2MOA.
While I have never had a problem with an Eotech and haven’t had enough time on a SRS to be able to form a real opinion I know my T1s have been utterly reliable and thus I trust them.
